Still Sick

Well, we are still sick (physically). Miles went to the doctor today. We did get some good news. He does not have a sore throat or an ear infection. Dad did not sleep at all the previous night. He suffered greatly but showed great courage and valor and somehow managed to survive.

Friday morning came early for all. Dad was at work by 7am, much to the dismay of his employees. Not a great day at work. Almost all of his employees showed up late for the last day of exams. His employees excuses consisted of the following "Bad Chinese Food"; "Lost my keys and had to go back home to give my roommate the right keys"; "Forgot to set my alarm clock" ; and the standard "I didn't know that I was scheduled" They are all full of soup. While known not to be verbally sensitive, Dad did not make more than 20 disparaging moral boosting comments before leaving for the day.

Jennifer continues to be a Mother Teresa. She is taking care of Miles and Daddy. Sam even got a bath. She is doing this while she recovers from a severe burn suffered to her index finger.

Cute Picture

Hello All,
Someone suggested I put a picture of Miles without anything in his mouth, so here it is. Isn't he soooooooo cute?

Sick Week

Hello All,
This week has been sick week, and we can't go to any of our get togethers. They don't allow any sick babies or mommies. I understand. But it's hard staying at home and not getting out. We have been taking a lot of walks. Sam's the only happy one about the whole thing.

Monday Miles started with a running nose and lots of crying. It was my birthday and I got sick too. It was not the best birthday. Miles did not sleep at night. Daddy had to take care of him, so daddy did not sleep.

Tuesday Miles slept for 6 hours in the day. He needed it after not sleeping during the night.

Wednesday we did nothing again because he and I were still sick.

Today is Thursday and I get my hair done. I'm so happy to be able to get out of the house. Jessie is watching Miles when I get my hair done. Now all of us are sick.

I don't mind being sick, but to see Miles so unhappy breaks my heart. I know he should be better soon.
Take care,
Jennifer

Grammar Mistakes

So sorry about the grammar mistakes and any spelling mistakes. I'm running on little sleep now of days. I must go nap now.

Renting and Parties

Hello All,
Well this weekend went well.

Saturday we went to a White Elephant party. That's where everyone brings a really bad gift and you exchange these gifts. It was so funny. We were only going to stay for an hour because we were so tried, but we stayed for three. We had so much fun.

Miles was back home with a babysitter.

We missed out on the BBQ because John needed to work a little later than he thought. This was a good thing because I was too tried to go to both the BBQ and the White Elephant party.

I think the white elephant gift exchange is the way to go. It's now Monday and I'm still laughing just thinking about it.

Sunday we got up early and got on the road to Tampa. We showed our townhome to three different people and we are very happy to say; we found a great person to rent it.

Miles was with Grammy and Grandpa.

John took me to the movies to see The Golden Compass, which was what I wanted for my birthday. John and I have both read the book. The movie was good! The book is great.

To end a another great weekend, Grammy and Grandpa took me out for a birthday dinner to my favorite Thai place in Tampa.

We got home around 12:30. Today, Monday, is a day of rest for Miles and me. Maybe one day John will be able to rest. I hope so, but after working more than 64 hours last week, he informs me that this week is the really busy week.

Stay tune to see how this week goes.

Welcome Family and Friends

Friday, Dec. 7, 2007

Miles is napping now.
We have had a busy week.

Monday was cleaning day at home.

Tuesday we went to the hospital for the luncheon with Santa. However, we did not really like how that Santa picture came out so we went to the mall after the luncheon. The picture with Santa at the mall is the best Santa picture I've ever seen.

Wednesday we went to a new group at the birth center. Craig and Arron invited us. Craig use to work at the bookstore, but now he is a stay at home dad to eight month old Arron. John wants to be like Craig. We ran into our friends that we know from the Friday luncheon's.

Thursday was duck feeding day. We meet up with some friends from MEETUP.com at the hospital duck pond. Those ducks are well feed. Then we ran to the dentist. The dentist only had to look at how I was healing from my oral surgery. All was great. Then we came home and baked three different kinds of cookies. We have to take cookies to the two parties we are going to this weekend.

Friday started at 9:00 with Miles at his physical therapy. Donna, his physical therapist, said he needed more improvement in looking left. He can turn left with his head 65 degrees, but she is wanted to see a full 90 degree turn. His side bending of his head also needs improvement. He has come a long way since we first started. Today we went to the moms group at the library. We had a great time there. Next we hit Target to make our holiday photo cards. We can't wait to mail them out.

I go out with some girl friends tonight, and Saturday we have two parties to go to. I'll post later about how our weekend went.
